Name-Based Case Searches
Need Superior or State Court records? The official entry point is the Augusta Case Management Search. A disclaimer appears first, followed by an agreement link that opens in a new window. The search host itself can be slow or fail to load. Because of that, rely on a careful sequence. Do not guess at name fields, filters, or result controls:
- Identify the court from a notice, citation, pleading, or calendar.
- Open the county case-management landing page and permit its separate window.
- If the live form appears, enter the party name exactly as the interface requests.
- Compare any match by court, case number, and known date before opening it.
- If the host fails or no match appears, call or visit the proper clerk.
Common names pull up many records. The court and case number are far safer identifiers. A misspelled name, a prior name, a city-court case, a sealed file, or asking the wrong office can each produce nothing. That empty result does not mean the case is gone. Check another official channel before drawing any conclusion.
Richmond Docket Portal Agreement
Before the search route opens, the county landing page makes you agree to its notice. That notice also warns that Augusta does not certify the data's authenticity or accuracy. So treat the online result as a convenience view only. It is not a certified court record. The clerk holding the file remains the final word.
Browser settings can sabotage the trip. A blocked pop-up looks exactly like a dead search. Allow the new window once and try the agreement again. If the host still will not resolve, stop refreshing. Call the clerk: 706-821-2460, option 3 for Superior felony matters, option 4 for State misdemeanor or citation matters, option 5 for civil and domestic matters, and option 6 for juvenile matters.
An empty web screen is not a case finding. It can reflect a blocked window, portal failure, wrong court, older file, or legal restriction.
Case Number Searches
A complete case number beats a name every time. Public criminal calendar material shows the pattern 2026RCCR00509. That string carries a year, a Richmond criminal marker, and a sequence. It proves nothing more. Other case types may use different codes, so never parse the parts and assume.
Copy the number straight from the citation, written notice, order, or calendar. Keep every letter and leading zero exactly as written. Add no spaces or punctuation unless the form asks for them. Still stuck? Read the whole number to the clerk. Name the court on your source document. The county publishes no verified civil, probate, or municipal code table.
- Case number
- The unique identifier used by the clerk and court calendar.
- Term
- A court period shown in published calendar material.
- Case style
- The short caption that names the parties or the State and accused person.
Treat the RCCR number as a single example. Don't treat it as a format for inventing codes for other Richmond County dockets.
Richmond Docket Search Window Limits
The Augusta agreement opens its search in a new window. Phones and privacy settings often block that step. The failure can happen before your Richmond County query even reaches the database.
Allow the official window once. If it still stalls, go to the clerk channel rather than an unofficial search service. Remember the county disclaimer too. A screen capture is not a certified record.
Wrong-Court Richmond Docket Searches
Richmond County splits its records among several custodians. Hattie Sullivan's office holds Superior, State, and Juvenile files. Civil, warrant, and lower-court matters belong to DeLisa Johnson's Civil and Magistrate Court office. Probate keeps estate, guardianship, conservatorship, marriage-license, and weapons-permit records. Municipal cases from Augusta, Hephzibah, and Blythe may run through city routes instead.
| Known matter | Likely custodian | Fallback |
|---|---|---|
| Superior or State case | Clerk of Superior, State & Juvenile Court | Suite 1500 or 706-821-2460 |
| Civil or Magistrate case | Civil and Magistrate Court clerk | Suite 1400 or 706-821-2370 |
| Estate or guardianship | Probate Court | Suite 1000 or 706-821-2434 |
| City citation | Named municipal court | City court or its official payment route |
The Augusta Open Records portal fills none of these clerk roles. When you call, name the case type, the full number, the filing you want, and a date range. For an old or hard-to-reach Richmond County docket, an in-person look or a written request is often the strongest backstop.
Richmond Docket Search at Suite 1500
Suite 1500 is the direct backstop for Richmond County Superior and State records. Bring the court name, case number, party names, and a clear date range. Say up front what you need. It may be inspection, a plain copy, or certification.
The counter can also tell a search problem from a true access limit. Staff will route the request where it belongs. They cannot lift a seal. Nor can they invent a report the court never kept.
Case Search Results Explained
A full Richmond County court docket usually runs from the case header through court and judge, parties, lawyers, charges or civil claims, dated entries, settings, financial items, disposition, and appeal or transfer. Criminal calendar samples are the only public illustration. The live county case detail page may go deeper. Its exact depth, including document images or download prices, is not confirmed.
| Case number | The clerk's unique key, which should match the source notice. |
|---|---|
| Court and judge | The tribunal holding the file and the judicial officer tied to a setting. |
| Style or parties | The caption and party roles used in the case. |
| Dated entries | Filings, motions, orders, settings, and other events recorded over time. |
| Disposition | The recorded result, such as dismissal, plea, judgment, or conviction. |
A calendar result is thinner than a docket. Richmond County criminal calendar samples list case number, term, defendant, jail days, offenses, prosecutor, defense attorney, date, time, judge, and courtroom. What a calendar proves is narrow. It shows a public setting was published, not the full file or the latest written notice.
Richmond City Dockets Search Separately
Not every traffic or ordinance case lands in the Richmond County system. Augusta, Hephzibah, and Blythe each run their own route. That means their own city court or payment path for municipal citations. So check the city printed on the ticket first.
Finding a payment match is handy, but it is not the whole docket. Failing to find one proves nothing either; the city court may still hold a record. Call that municipal court. Ask about the current court date and its public-file process.
PeachCourt and Richmond Docket Search
Richmond County requires PeachCourt for civil and domestic filing in Superior and State Court, according to the official Richmond County e-filing page. The PeachCourt account screen offers email and password fields, sign-in, recovery, and registration. In short, an account is the route for filing and document access, not a casual docket search.
| Field | Type | Required | Observed note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Text | Yes | Account login | |
| Password | Password | Yes | Account login |
| Sign In | Button | N/A | Submits credentials |
| Register | Link/button | N/A | Creates an account |
The manifest's PeachCourt source captures this gate.
One caution: PeachCourt is not a free public Richmond County name-search form.
Two Ways to Search: County and State
Georgia offers no single statewide case box that replaces Richmond County access. The Georgia Courts E-Access page is a directory, not a search engine. It sends people to provider systems. It also notes that an account is required. PeachCourt and re:SearchGA appear in the vendor directory. Neither listing confirms full Richmond County coverage on its own.
| Georgia directory | Richmond County route |
|---|---|
| Points to outside provider systems | Starts at Augusta Case Management Search |
| Requires a provider account | May open a separate county search host |
| Does not replace local clerks | Backed by court-specific clerk offices |
The county's own local e-filing page shows how Richmond County assigns PeachCourt to civil and domestic filing.
This local notice helps separate e-filing access from the public county docket search.
Older Richmond Dockets Need a Clerk
Older Richmond County cases may predate today's public web layer. Some sit in an index built years ago. The clerk's past ICON attorney-access form shows the county long ran its own case-management system. That history is not proof that every old file migrated into the current search.
Call the clerk first. Need a paper inspected or a certified copy? Visit the right Judicial Center suite during published hours. A mailed request should name the court and the complete case number. Include party names, the document, and the date span. Probate has its own estate research form. It may ask for a money order plus a self-addressed envelope. Skip Augusta's general Open Records portal for court requests.
Richmond Calendar and Docket Results
A Richmond County calendar entry is not a full case-search result. A published criminal calendar may list a case number, term, person, offense, and counsel. Date, time, judge, and courtroom may appear too. That serves scheduling. A docket goes further. It tracks filings, events, rulings, disposition, and later review.
When a calendar is all you can see, copy the full case number. Then call the correct clerk. Ask if the setting is still current. Ask whether a public docket sheet or filed notice exists. Written notice controls over a published calendar when the two differ. A reset or amended setting may never appear in an old PDF. One calendar row is never the complete Richmond County case record.
Which Cases Stay Restricted
Public access to Richmond County court records has legal limits. Uniform Superior Court Rule 21 generally favors inspection. Law or a court order can still restrict the record. Juvenile law-enforcement files carry stronger confidentiality under O.C.G.A. ยง15-11-708. Adoption, deprivation, termination, and some custody material may also be limited.
A missing result has several meanings. The case may be sealed, juvenile, redacted, old, in another court, on a city docket, or temporarily unavailable online.
Even a public file can lose pieces. Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, minor names, birth dates, and protected judicial data may be redacted. The clerk can explain whether a public version exists and which request route fits. But the clerk cannot undo a judge's sealing order. For a document behind the docket rather than a search result, use the Richmond County court case records route.
